Defining Manager and Monitor Settings using the Settings Page

The SETTINGS page in the eG administrative interface enables you to do the following:

  • Define the default settings for a few critical operations of the eG manager
  • Enable logging for eG manager functions such as trending, thresholding, cleanup, etc.
  • Configure the default settings for the monitor and reporter interfaces
  • Defining custom logo and messages for the login, Admin, Monitor, Reporter, and Configuration management interfaces.

To access this page, select the Settings option from the Configure menu in the eG administrative interface.

The SETTINGS page that appears next comes with a left panel comprising a tree structure. Each node in the tree allows you to define the Monitor settings, the Manager settings, and the Logo Messages. Expand a node to view the settings that can be defined.

Using the Expand All / Close All options provided under the tree, you can simultaneously open/close all the subnodes that are listed under the individual nodes.

Using the left-arrow button in this page, you can hide the tree. To restore the tree, click the right-arrow button.
