Measures reported by DhcpUtilTest

The DhcpUtilTest reports general statistics pertaining to the Microsoft 2000 DHCP server running on a network. The measures made by this test are as follows:

Measurement Description Measurement Unit Interpretation
Curr_addr_usage_cnt Refers to the number of IP addresses in use in the target network. Number A high value of this measure indicates that very few IP addresses are currently available in the target network for allocation to clients.
Free_addr_cnt Refers to the number of free IP addresses available in the target network. Number A high value is indicative of the fact that adequate IP addresses are available in the target network for allocation to clients.
Total_addr_usage_cnt Indicates the total number of IP addresses allocated to the target network. Number  
Usage Indicates the percentage of IP addresses that are currently used in the target network. Percent If the value of this measure reaches close to 100% then it is a cause for concern, which indicates excessive usage of the IP addresses in the target network.
